$1,000 onboard credit stacks on Tahiti cruises

Paul Gauguin Cruises and Ponant Explorations are running a $1,000 onboard-credit offer for French Polynesia sailings in 2026 and 2027. The key: it stacks with up to 30% early-booking discounts and multiple loyalty programs, making the total value substantial. Book by October 31st and use promo code TEMPTAH.

Why it matters: Tahiti cruises aren't cheap, and stacking discounts is rare. If you're planning a trip that far out, the arithmetic actually works.

The TPD take: The 4-month booking window gives you time to think without rushing. Check what loyalty programs you're eligible for before booking—the stacking is real.

Alaska launching no-fee card, hints at new Atmos transfer partner

Alaska Airlines is building a no-annual-fee credit card that earns Atmos Rewards points and status. Details on perks and launch timing are still fuzzy, but it will sit below the existing $95 Ascent and $395 Summit cards. The carrier also hinted at a new transfer partner coming to the Atmos program.

Why it matters: No-fee airline cards typically strip out big perks (free checked bags, etc.), but if Atmos points are valuable enough to you, the card might still be worth it.

The TPD take: Wait for the full details before deciding. The transfer-partner hint is more interesting—it could shift where Atmos points are worth moving.

Citi ThankYou points hit Amazon at 40% off

Citi ThankYou cardholders can redeem at least 125 points at Amazon checkout for 40% off, up to $50 total discount. The offer runs through December 31, 2026, but is targeted—not all cardholders will see it. It doesn't apply to gift cards, but works on multiple purchases and third-party sellers (as long as Amazon fulfills).

Why it matters: 40% off is a solid redemption rate for ThankYou points if you were going to shop at Amazon anyway.

The TPD take: Check if the offer appears in your account before planning around it. If it does, stack it with any other Amazon promos to maximize the discount.

Two JetBlue Amex offers: pick the better deal

American Express has two targeted JetBlue offers running through December 14, 2026: spend $200 get $40 back, or spend $400 get $60 back. The $200 offer is the better deal if your fare lands near that amount (20% off). Both work on JetBlue.com and the app for U.S.-origin flights in dollars. You can only add one offer per card, so choose one that also earns bonus points on airfare.

Why it matters: The $200/$40 offer is rare value for a targeted Amex deal. The $400/$60 offer only makes sense if your ticket is closer to $300+.

The TPD take: Do the math on your actual fare. If you're booking a $180 flight, the $200 offer cuts it to $160. On a $500 fare, the $400 offer gets you down to $440. Pick accordingly.

Bilt devalues Hyatt transfer ratio to 4-to-3

Bilt is cutting its Hyatt transfer rate from 1-to-1 to 0.75-to-1 (4 Bilt points = 3 Hyatt points) effective January 1, 2027. Unlike Chase's recent Hyatt devaluation, Bilt is not carving out an exception for premium cardholders.

Why it matters: This mirrors Chase's move and almost certainly came from Hyatt pushing for lower transfer rates across the board. If you've been holding Bilt points for Hyatt, you've got until year-end to move them at full value.

The TPD take: Hyatt is systematically weakening its transfer partnerships. If you have Bilt points earmarked for Hyatt redemptions, transfer now. The 25% haircut in three months is too big to ignore.

Steal of the Day: BeFrugal referral bonus

BeFrugal is offering a $40 bonus when you sign up via referral and earn $10 in cash back—$50 total. Some stores are excluded, so check the list first. One shopping trip can knock out the $10 threshold and trigger the bonus.

The TPD take: If you're not already using a cash-back portal, BeFrugal is an easy way to capture an extra $50 on a purchase you'd make anyway.

Card of the Day: Chase Sapphire Reserve at EEEEEATSCON

Chase Sapphire Reserve holders can skip the line at EEEEEATSCON New York on October 4: early access, complimentary food, and a drink. Saturday is sold out. It's a Chase-owned food festival, so the perks make sense—but only book a trip if you were already planning to go.

The TPD take: If you already hold the card and live in or are visiting New York this weekend, take the early access and free food. It's a nice cardholder perk. Don't book a plane ticket to New York for it.
