Buy IHG One Rewards Points with a 100% Bonus
IHG is doubling your points through October 5 when you purchase at least 5,000 points in a single transaction, effectively cutting the cost to half a cent per point. The annual purchase limit has been raised from 200,000 to 300,000 points for this sale, meaning you could acquire 600,000 points for $3,000. The offer is account-specific, so you'll need to log in and confirm eligibility before buying.
TPD take: The math works if you have a specific redemption in mind and the math is better than transferring to partners or waiting for category bonuses. But don't buy points just because the offer exists. The purchase cap increase makes this one worth checking—some accounts may not see the promotion at all.

Flash Sale: Save up to 15% on IHG Reward Nights Through November (Book by September 21)
IHG One Rewards cardholders and elite members can book award nights at up to 15% off for stays through November 2, 2026, provided they book by September 21. The discount applies across all brands from Holiday Inn to Intercontinental, but doesn't combine with the fourth-night-free elite benefit. Discounted rates are visible only after logging in.
TPD take: The deadline is tight, but if you have existing IHG reservations that might benefit from rebooking at lower point costs, the math could pencil out in your favor. This is a standard award discount (not a points purchase deal), so your value depends on what you're actually booking.

Deal: IHG Offering 3 for 2 on Premium Rooms in Asia and South Pacific
Book premium rooms and suites in Asia, South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand by September 30 for stays through June 30, 2027, and receive every third night free. Rates include breakfast and the bookings are fully flexible—unusual terms for a promotional rate.
TPD take: The catch is premium rooms only, not standard categories, which limits your options. But if you're targeting luxury properties in this region over the next nine months, the flexibility is genuinely valuable and worth testing against your specific dates.

Google Fi: 75% Off For 12 Months (Ends 9/29)
Google Fi is discounting its service to $8.75/month (Essentials), $12.50/month (Standard), or $16.25/month (Premium) for 12 months on new lines through September 29. The discount applies only to the first line and only if you bring your own phone. One critical detail: if Google Fi terminates your account, your entire Google account may be affected, so consider using a separate Google account for the service.
TPD take: The discount is steep, but the account termination risk is real. Using a secondary Google account isolates the damage if something goes wrong. This is useful if you're in the market for a cheap data line, but not a reason to convert your primary email and storage to Google Fi.

Wide-Open Availability at Andaz Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica From 35K Points
The Andaz Peninsula Papagayo is displaying substantial award availability at 35,000 Hyatt points per night through most of September and October 2026, plus September 2027. Cash rates regularly exceed $1,000 per night, making this redemption worth more than 2.8 cents per point—well above Hyatt's standard 1.4 cent valuation. The property sits on 1,400 acres in Guanacaste and is a Category 8 resort.
TPD take: Wide availability at a popular luxury property at low-category pricing doesn't stick around. If you have Hyatt points and Costa Rica is on your radar, this is the time to look. The value proposition is clear enough that you don't need to overthink it.

Steal of the Day: Rove Doubling Referral Bonus to 1K Miles (Through 9/18)
Rove is offering 1,000 miles to both the referrer and new member through September 18—double the standard 500-mile bonus. The deadline is tomorrow.
TPD take: This works only if both parties are in the Rove ecosystem or planning to be. Rove miles have limited redemption value outside their partner network, so this is situational. If you have a friend ready to sign up tonight, it's worth the referral link.

Card of the Day: IHG One Rewards Credit Card
The IHG One Rewards Credit Card gets first access to the 15% award night discount running through September 21 for stays through November 2. Elite members (Platinum and Diamond) may gain access on September 18, leaving a 5-day booking window.
TPD take: If you hold the card and have points to deploy, log in immediately. The window is closing fast, and the discount is real savings on paid-out points.
