Breeze Airways Sale: One-Way Fares From $35
What happened: Breeze Airways is running a flash sale with one-way fares starting at $35. Bookable through July 30, travel is valid September 8–October 8, 2026, with some blackout dates. Base fare covers only a seat and personal item; checked bags, seat selection, and other services cost extra.
Why it matters: Early-fall domestic travel at that price is rare, and Breeze's point-to-point routes often lack frequent-flyer alternatives.
TPD take: Book if you're already planning a Breeze route in that window and can travel light. Otherwise, pass.
United Transcontinental Business Class From 27K Miles (Cardholders)
What happened: United is loading saver business class awards on transcontinental routes at 27,000 MileagePlus miles one-way—but only for United card holders. Most availability is August–September for routes like Newark–San Francisco and Newark–Los Angeles.
Why it matters: That's a strong redemption rate for transcontinental business on a premium carrier, though not all 27K awards are equal.
TPD take: Check the aircraft and routing carefully. Some awards come with flat-bed Polaris seats and lounge access; others involve connections or recliners. A nonstop Polaris seat at that rate is a genuine deal.
Disney Hotels: Up to 40% Off via Priceline
What happened: Priceline is offering up to 40% off Disney Resorts Collection hotels for stays through October 3, 2026. The sale includes standard rooms at Value, Moderate, and Deluxe properties. Suites, villas, and cabins are excluded. Booking closes August 2.
Why it matters: Disney hotels don't have a loyalty program, so booking via an OTA carries no downside—just compare pricing first.
TPD take: Price-check Disney directly before committing. If Priceline wins, the 40% discount is real money on a $200+ nightly rate.
Alaska & Philippine Airlines Expand Partnership: Points Redemptions Live
What happened: Alaska Mileage Plan members can now redeem miles on Philippine Airlines for the first time since the partnership launched over a year ago. Transpacific business class runs 75,000–85,000 miles one-way via Alaska's distance-based Asia chart. Book directly on Alaska's site.
Why it matters: Opens a new option for Alaska mile-holders heading to Manila or connecting into Asia.
TPD take: The A350-900 business class is solid but unspectacular. Useful primarily if you're already holding Alaska miles and need a Manila or onward-Asia connection.
Award Alert: EVA Air Business Class to Taipei From 85K Points
What happened: EVA Air has opened substantial business class award space from multiple U.S. cities to Taipei, bookable via Air Canada Aeroplan at 85,000 points plus ~$57 in fees one-way. Some flights through January 2027 show 4 business seats available—unusually high for a transpacific route. Aeroplan points transfer 1:1 from Amex, Bilt, Capital One, and Chase.
Why it matters: Rare award availability and a low points cost for transcontinental business class.
TPD take: Worth checking if Taiwan or Asia is on your itinerary, especially if you need two seats. This won't last long.

Uber Gift Cards: 10% Discount (YMMV)
Some Uber app users can save 10% on gift cards through today, July 28. Check Account > Send a Gift in your app. Max $500 per person, one per account. If it's targeted to you and you'll use Uber anyway, grab it before tonight.
Card of the Day
Bilt Mastercard Rent Day (August 1)
On August 1, Bilt cardholders earn double points on nonrent purchases (up to 1,000 bonus points) and can status-match into Accor by transferring 5,000–15,000 points depending on tier. The Accor match requires burning points on a program most people won't use, but the double points on shopping is straightforward.
